Didn’t see this one in Sunday School

Do it and Face the Eternal Consequences

Have you ever been really tired at school, work or church? There were weights in your eyelids as gravity’s claws squeezed tighter and tighter around you.

Have you ever listened to a speaker, and their monotonous deliberation became a beguiling lullaby that spun around your head?

Sleepiness is for mortals you say? Well, I have found myself in this situation a handful of times. Makes me glad that I wasn’t this guy:

 Acts 20:9

As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep and dropped three stories to his death below.

Have no fear! The story has a happy ending. I have to think to myself that God has a sense of humor sometimes.
